I Won an Ultrabook

A month ago I won a contest for a brand new Sony Vaio Ultrabook. If you want to read about how I won, check out my post on Tumblr.

You may also be wondering why I'm cross posting. I'm thinking of getting off of Blogspot all together and posting my blog entries to that Tumblr page. This may make the transition a bit more smooth.

Shhhhhh!

I won another contest! And once again, I couldn't have done it without my Facebook friends. Really! I needed to get the most 'likes' on my entry and I somehow convinced enough people to help me in a silencer.

Oh yeah, have you ever heard of someone winning a silencer? Now you have!

SilencerCo held a contest to give away their new Stainless Steel 22Sparrow. All you had to do was make a video showing why, then they pick the four finalists for all of Facebook to vote on.

When voting started, I thought I had this one in the bag, but that wasn't the case. I led the polls for just a little bit in the beginning but was quickly in second place until the very end. A really close call!

Ok, I won a silencer so now what? I have to fill out some forms and pay the government tax stamp, then I wait. Waiting for your paperwork to go through can sometimes take a while, or so I'm told.  That's ok though because my current .22 doesn't have a threaded barrel so I'm looking to replace it with one that does. I have a few ideas but I'm going to ask SilencerCo what they recommend for the 22Sparrow.

This is my first suppressor and I'm super excited about it! A lot of people have been asking me 'why' and I have a simple 4 bullet point answer:

- Increased accuracy
- Hearing protection
- Home protection
- It's my right and I choose to exercise my right.
